BackOnTime makes it very easy to set alerts to help you get back-on-time. You can set the time that you want to be back by time-of-day, duration in hours and minutes, or by dark. It’s great for helping kids get back home on time for dinner or by their curfew, or back before it’s too dark to see, or getting you back before your parking meter expires.

EASY TO USE ALERT APP
BackOnTime is a general-purpose, easy to use alert app to help you get back-on-time. You just tell it when you must be back and then set the number of minutes in advance of that time that you want to start receiving alerts. Tap Start. It’s that easy!

You will start receiving alerts at the time you specified and every minute thereafter until you view the app and tap Stop. You can view BackOnTime at any time to see how much time remains.

With BackOnTime you can view a map showing you where you are and where you started. You can request directions back and you can email or message (SMS) your current and starting locations to anyone.

With BackOnTime you can set the time you need to be back by time-of-day, duration in hours and minutes, or you can select by dark. You set the number of minutes in advance of that time that you want to start receiving alerts and BackOnTime automatically performs all of the time calculations and alerts you at the right time.

TIME-OF-DAY
Your kids want to go out and play. You want them back by dinnertime. How can you make sure they get back on time? BackOnTime is your answer! Just select the time-of-day for dinner and then tap Start.

BY DARK
You want to go for a walk, but you want to be back by dark. How do you know when to head back? BackOnTime is your answer! Just tap it and then tap Start.

DURATION IN HOURS AND MINUTES
You park your car, put money into the parking meter, and go to do some shopping. How do you make sure you get back before your parking meter expires? BackOnTime is your answer. Simply set the hours and minutes that you have on the parking meter in BackOnTime and set the minutes in advance of the meter expiration that you want to be alerted. Then tap Start.

BackOnTime will alert you when you need to head back. Additionally, you can use the Map feature to see where you are and where you parked the car. You can even get directions back to the car. If you need to let someone else know where you parked the car, you can send them an email or message (SMS) with the car’s location.

MINIMUM BATTERY USAGE
Because BackOnTime leverages iPhone’s multitasking capability by using Local Notifications, you can put your phone to sleep and save your battery, or use your phone to make calls, send and receive text and email messages, or use any other apps. Once it’s time to head back, BackOnTime will continue to alert you every minute until you view the app and tap Stop.

REQUIREMENTS
BackOnTime requires an iPhone 3 or 3GS or iPhone 4 or 4S running iOS 4.0 or above.

Note: With iOS 5.0 or later, be sure to enable Notifications for BackOnTime. Go to Settings>Notifications>BackOnTime and set “Alert Style” to “Banners” or “Alerts” and set Sounds to ON.
